The Intranet RSS Reader is an online RSS aggregator intended to be used by a college community that has no expertise or knowledge with RSS. Since users will see the intranet site every time they start their browsers, this is a convenient way to ensure that they have immediate access to the information that they reference most often.

The reader allows users to add and remove feeds from their own feed lists, and to select feeds from a feed library provided by the school. This way, even if they aren't technically proficient enough to go out and find RSS feeds on their own, they can still select a few of the most common sources (such as mainstream news sites).

The RSS reader also supports podcasts, which gives users access to audio and video information as well as just text. Podcast media are opened in their own area so that the user can continue reading other feeds while listening to a podcast.
The short video below will demonstrate many of the RSS reader's features and functions. It will show you how to add and remove feeds, use the feed library, view HTML content from feeds, and play podcast media.
