How to make a page that doesn't appear in the menu

From time to time, it may be necessary to have a page that exists and can be linked to but does not appear in the menu.

Step 1: Edit the page

Open the page for editing by either browsing to it on the main site and selecting "edit" from the page controls or by finding the page under the "pages" tab in the management console.

Step 2: Change the Menu Order number

Items in menus are sorted by Menu Order and then alphabetically for pages that have the same number.  Pages with lower numbers appear first.  To hide a page completely, type in a negative number and click Publish.
